A major utility’s new Banks Crossing Substation was constructed to improve power supply services to increase needs in Commerce, Georgia.
P&J was contracted to install a 4–pole 230kV and 16-pole 115kV dead end structure consisting of 20 drilled shafts of multiple sizes, 110’ direct–embed poles, and associated hardware. The pre-cast, concrete poles were 110’ long and weighed 60,000 lbs.
