Senior Vice President – Power Generation

Max graduated from North Carolina State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering in 1984, and he began his career in highway construction. He joined P&J in 1994 as an estimator, moved into project management, and was promoted to senior vice president in 2016.  As senior vice president of the Power Generation Group, he is responsible for all aspects of heavy civil construction related to plant facilities. Projects include ash management, landfill construction, closures, haul roads, leachate management systems and other civil related works. His responsibilities encompass all elements of projects from the initial proposal to the conclusion of construction: direct involvement with bid preparation; contract profitability and cost review; contract administration and negotiations; primary owner contact; and general oversight of overall safety, quality, and performance of projects prior to and during construction.
